Blog #1

Over the course of summer break, I wasn't able to get leave the house much at all. During quarantine, I was able to try a bunch of new things and experiment on new hobbies. With the vast amount of time that I had staying home, I managed to learn how to play the guitar and ukulele, and catch up with some much needed sleep. Additionally, I took two SMC classes over the summer those classes being Economics and Political Science so I could clear up my sixth period. I was able to use the extra free time I had spending time with family, although too much time with them seemed to be a bit overbearing. Despite all this free time, it was definitely one of the most disappointing summers with cancelled plans to the east coast, postponed concerts, and not being able to have a normal senior year, but at the end of the day it's for our safety so it's necessary.

I know this year will definitely be different considering everything is now online, so we're unable to do hands-on projects, but I'm both curious and excited to just see how the class projects will turn out. I hope our class will be able to do and create cool, useful contraptions despite the distance.

In general this year, I'm just hopeful and have been looking forward to come back to school so I could finish my senior year right. I'm excited to see how everything turns out regarding my college applications and seeing what I end up wanting to do and where I'm going after high school.
