As of right now, my group is mainly focused on the functionality and construction process of actually producing our prototype, along with determining which specific materials are needed while acquiring them at the lowest possible price. Regarding the document, we are finalizing the necessary prototype criteria and procedures in order for our application to be effective and function with our particular specifications.

Capstone Update #1: Mentor

Date: 11/2/2020

As of now, we've acquired two mentors. Our first mentor is a professor at the University of Auckland, Dr. Guy Warman. He is a professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and currently has a research group regarding  the control of circadian rhythms and the similarities between sleep and anesthesia. Another probable mentor is a medical director of the Sleep for Science Research Laboratory of Brown University, Dr. Katherine Sharkey. Her focus is regarding sleep and circadian rhythms, particularly as they relate to mood regulation and women's health. These mentors can assist my group, by sharing their years of research and knowledge regarding sleep and giving some personal insight to our document.
